Here is a list of valid identification documents accepted for notary services.

Important Notice

If you are unable to provide an ID, all documents can still be notarized provided two accompany persons are present who can act as “credible identifying witnesses”. This means two individuals that are in possession of their respective picture ID who know and can verify the identity of the signer, and do not “benefit” from any transaction related to the document(s) that require notarization.

Driver License

A driver license is an official ID issued by the state, verifying your identity and authorization to operate a motor vehicle. It is commonly accepted for notarizations.

U.S. Passport

A U.S. passport is a government-issued document that verifies your identity and citizenship. It is widely accepted as a primary form of ID for notarizations.

State, County and Local Government ID

State, county, and local government IDs are official documents that verify your identity and are accepted forms of identification for notarization services.

U.S. Military ID

A U.S. Military ID is an official government-issued identification for active duty service members, veterans, retirees, and their dependents, and is widely accepted for all types of notarizations.
